About ReStory Therapy & Wellness

ReStory Therapy & Wellness is a trauma-informed wellness practice grounded in emotional stabilization, crisis support, and clarity-building for individuals navigating overwhelm, transitions, and emotionally demanding seasons of life.

ReStory provides non-clinical emotional wellness and crisis-informed support services directly to clients. These services focus on grounding, regulation, emotional clarity, and practical support – and do not replace psychotherapy or clinical mental health treatment.

As a licensed social worker, ReStory also partners with organizations, agencies, and institutions to provide clinical services under supervision, in accordance with professional and licensure standards.

This dual structure allows ReStory to remain ethical, transparent, and aligned with both immediate client needs and long-term clinical goals.

Our Mission

The mission of ReStory Therapy & Wellness is to provide grounded, trauma-informed emotional wellness and crisis support to individuals navigating overwhelm, transition, and emotionally demanding seasons of life.

We are committed to helping people slow down, stabilize emotionally, and gain clarity during moments that feel heavy, confusing, or destabilizing. Our work centers dignity, compassion, and emotional safety – meeting clients where they are without pressure, judgment, or urgency to “fix” themselves.

ReStory exists to support people in reconnecting with themselves, building internal stability, and moving forward with intention and confidence.

“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”

Trauma-Informed Wellness Practitioner & Crisis Specialist

Founder, ReStory Therapy & Wellness

ReStory Therapy & Wellness was created from both professional experience and personal understanding of what it means to carry emotional weight while still being expected to function, lead, and move forward.

My name is Taieta El-Amin, and I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), trauma-informed wellness practitioner, and crisis specialist. I support individuals navigating emotional overwhelm, transitions, and crisis with grounded, compassionate, trauma-informed care.

ReStory is the space I wish existed during seasons when life felt heavy, unclear, or emotionally exhausting.

Professional Background

I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with professional experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed support, and community-based systems work.

  • Crisis counseling and emotional stabilization
  • Trauma-informed emotional wellness support
  • Community outreach and systems-level social work
  • Supporting individuals navigating life transitions, burnout, and emotional overload
  • Advocacy and workforce-focused initiatives addressing access and equity

I have also been accepted into the Urban Community Health Certificate Program, further strengthening my training in population-level health, equity, and community-informed care.

These experiences have shaped my calm, grounded, and steady approach – one that prioritizes emotional safety, dignity, and clarity, especially during difficult moments.

My Approach

My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and grounded. I focus on helping individuals slow down, stabilize emotionally, and reconnect with themselves when life feels overwhelming.

Rather than rushing change, my work supports clients in:

  • Building emotional regulation and internal safety
  • Gaining clarity around their experiences and needs
  • Navigating decisions and transitions with confidence
  • Developing tools that support resilience and self-trust

I believe healing begins with presence – not pressure. Clients are not expected to arrive with answers; they are supported in discovering them.
